Mississauga - Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in which a fully marked Peel Regional Police vehicle was involved.
On Friday August 12, 2011, at approximately 9:05 p.m., a uniform officer was operating a fully marked police cruiser, when it was involved in a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Sheridan Park Drive.
The officer involved sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision; he was transported to local hospital and later released.
The female driver of the second vehicle, a Mazda 6 four-door sedan suffered minor injuries. She was taken to a local hospital and later released. The female's eight year-old son suffered serious injuries, he was transported to a Toronto area hospital.
The investigation is continuing. No charges have been laid at this time. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to it.
