Mississauga Council is pressing ahead with the use of technology that will help keep students, citizens, neighbourhoods and our streets safer, Mayor Bonnie Crombie said today.

Mississauga – In partnership with Canadian Blood Services, I am proud to announce that for the month of December we are holding the Mayor’s Blood Drive, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie said.
“During this Christmas holiday season, you have the power to wrap it up red and Give Life,” Mayor Crombie said. “I am reaching out to all residents in Mississauga and encouraging you to Give Life by donating blood to our local hospital, patients and their families,” Mayor Crombie added.
The Mayor’s Blood Drive is running from now until December 31 at the Heartland Blood Donor Clinic – 765 Britannia Road West Unit 2 Mississauga, ON L5V 2Y1 – (located at the Northwest Corner of Mavis and Hurontario).
“This is a busy time of year, but the need for blood and stem cell donations never stops,” Mayor Crombie said.
“I want to thank everyone who has helped give the gift of life, including the team from Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services for already stepping up and taking part in this city-wide effort.
“I would like to single out Canadian Blood Services staff, for their tremendous dedication, commitment and enthusiasm to ensure the Mayor’s Blood Drive is a complete success.”
